OM Yoga
About
Olivia got her first taste of yoga when it was a required class for her dance company. Like most forced participation, she loathed those early Saturday morning planks and down dogs (looking back on it now, she understands the hatred sprung from her lack of upper body strength). It wasn’t until she started attending classes at CorePower in college and met other inspiring yogis that yoga began to click. She began to fall in love with the mind-body connection that she was creating within herself that she decided to pursue her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2015. The strength, balance and growth she has experienced through her practice is something she hopes her students find in her classes.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to sit down with a new student first to get to know 'why yoga?' I want to know their personal goals, prior experiences, injuries, thought processes- the whole 9 yards. The more I know about the student, the more personal I can make their pratice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified 200 hr-RYT instructor, with an extensive knowledge of anatomy.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price is negotiable - depending on location of lessons/time length etc.
What types of students have you worked with?
I currently instruct 7 classes a week at a community center, so I've worked with a wide array of age groups- from the young competition skaters in Vinyasa Flow or Yoga Sculpt classes, to elderly students in Restorative Yoga.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had the pleasure of instructing at a yoga and wellness retreat in Dandridge, TN. I was able to work alongside other like-minded individuals who were interesting in taking control of their own personal wellness. It was inspiring to see all the different aspects of self-care provided- from working with professional chefs who focus on personal meal planning, to other fitness professionals sharing their knowledge of their craft.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Yoga is a very personal practice- find an instructor who can help you get to the core of who YOU really are!
