I teach yoga classes and give private lessons. I especially enjoy teaching those who are new to yoga. I feel it is important to work with each student "where they are" as they come into class, be it a group or private. I studied and continue to study under some great teachers. My initial training is in the Himalayan Tradition, focusing on breath and movement. I have taken 3 additional trainings to work with students going through cancer treatment or other health challenges.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to talk to students to understand their needs and reasons for doing yoga. This way we can communicate more effectively.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 200 hour certified training. I have 3 courses of yoga for cancer training.
I have been studying with the same teacher/tradition for 20 years and have taken workshops with incredible teachers like Gabriel Halpern from Yoga Circle in Chicago.
