MWA Yoga
About
Welcome to MWA Yoga! My goal in sharing yoga is to help open minds and expand possibilities, teach methods for relaxation and self healing and leave students awake to their full potential. I am trained in the Hatha tradition, utilizing breath-work, meditation, proper alignment, chanting, and humor in my classes. Yoga is not just about the physical practice, time on the mat is an invitation to return home to yourself with wisdom and compassion.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to begin with an honest discussion about goals and what they are hoping yoga will provide them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
RYT200 in Hatha yoga. Additional Certifications in Restorative and Embodyoga, as well as Reiki. CPR/AED certified. Trained in vedic and mindful meditation, yoga nidra, mantra and pranayama. Particular interest working with athletes looking to incorporate yoga and meditation to their routine.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer 60, 90 and 120 minute private sessions in person or virtual. Pricing will vary based on requirements, travel etc. but start at $60 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years but didn't decide to teach officially until 2018. I powerlifted and ran competitively until 2016 when after a series of back injuries and a car accident I decided to back off power sports and re-focus on yoga.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with a lot of athletes, particularly weight lifters. I have worked with younger athletes in high school and college, I also work a lot with the general beginner population. I also do Corporate yoga - which is in office yoga designed for those who are mostly sedentary during the day.
