Hanmi Tae Kwon Do Center L.L.C.

Hanmi Tae Kwon Do Center L.L.C., based in Worcester, MA, provides year-round Taekwondo instruction for all ages with an additional location in Shrewsbury. The school offers structured programs including an After School Pick Up Program with safe transportation from local schools, the Little Dragons program for ages 4–5, children’s classes, and dynamic teen and adult training. Family participation, flexible scheduling, and a clean, safe training environment support students from early childhood through adulthood.

The center is led by Grandmaster Karen A. Brown, one of a small number of women worldwide to achieve the rank of Grandmaster. She brings more than four decades of training and has owned and operated the school for 29 years. Her leadership team includes experienced instructors such as Masters Justin Choe (Head Master, Worcester and Sparring Team Coach), Jennifer Choe (Head Instructor and Manager, Worcester), Kevin Green (Lead Master), and Anthony Zheng (Head Instructor, Shrewsbury), who coach competition teams in sparring and poomsae and lead a demonstration team.

Hanmi Tae Kwon Do Center is active in community outreach, delivering a Bully Prevention Program in schools across Worcester and Shrewsbury County. The school has been voted Best Martial Arts School by Worcester Magazine readers for three consecutive years. Grandmaster Brown’s recognitions include Grandmaster of the Year (2018) and induction into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame (2020).
