Yoga Method
About
I have spent the last twenty years working in various areas of the medical field. I studied for my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and was involved in acupuncture and complementary health research. My yoga instruction is informed by a deep knowledge of functional anatomy, having worked with patients at a sports medicine practice and observing common complaints in people from all walks of life. I am keen at noticing movement patterns in the body and have adapted my yoga sequencing and cueing to address tightness in the hips and lack of strength in the back body from modern living that contributes to back, neck, hip and knee pain.
I have studied with amazing yoga teachers from coast to coast including Rodney Yee (Oakland, CA), Judith Hanson Lasater (San Francisco, CA), Jason Crandell (San Francisco, CA), Patricia Walden (Somerville, MA) and Shawn Shaw (Worcester, MA).
I love laughing more than anything and can find humor in almost every situation. I hope to bring a sense of lightness and joy to all my classes and love nothing more than seeing people leave class calm, energized and refreshed.
