About this pro

Macabre Yoga focuses on balancing the light with the dark, while helping students to broaden their practice in a safe and welcoming environment. Each class is catered towards the student’s particular needs, and is paced in such a way that even absolute beginners will enjoy the class, coupled with a creative twist on musical playlists. I was also just recently diagnosed with undifferentiated connective tissue disease, which presents itself as Lupus. This has given me a unique perspective into pain management and muscle weakness. Available for meditation, vinyasa yoga, hatha (great for beginners), restorative, yin yoga, yoga nidra, chair yoga, yoga for athletes, yoga for runners, and yoga for arthritis.

I enjoy helping new yoga practitioners find the confidence to begin their journey into yoga. I have been practicing yoga for six years now, and love being able to help people experience the same benefits that I found with yoga and that kept me motivating to continue my practice.

While I'm rather new to formal practice of yoga, I felt welcomed and comfortable in her practice. She is easily approachable and provides guidance for those at different ability levels. She created an atmosphere that I felt comfortable in starting my practice under her guidance. I would certainly go to another class led by her and recommend others do the same.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We meet for coffee or tea in order to discuss the student's particular needs. Depending on those needs I put together a practice plan and both myself and the student agree to it.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
