The Aikido Institute of Michigan, founded in 1984, is dedicated to providing comprehensive martial arts instruction in the Battle Creek region and beyond. Specializing in Aikido, Medical Qi Gong, Taiji, and Feng Shui, they are recognized for their main dojo, Seiwa, which also serves as the business dojo for the International Seidokan Aikido organization. The institute has established a strong presence with satellite dojos in Marshall, Coldwater, Kalamazoo, and Portage.
