About
Shorin-Ryu Karate School, founded in 1985 and located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, specializes in teaching Chibana-style Shorin-ryu karate-do and Ryukyu kobudo. The school prides itself on being the best in the area, offering a range of classes, including general martial arts, self-defense, and private lessons. The teachings are based on the "small forest style" karate started by Choshin Chibana, which is not aimed at winning but rather not losing, making it suitable for all age groups and genders.
