I go by the name of MasterMelvin Boxing is my life, I really enjoy what I do and what I've done for many others which is help them reach there goals whether it's boxing, teaching self defense or just getting people in great shape.
I won the Kansas City Golden gloves 8 years straight and won the nationals in 96 and 97 which mad me #1 in the United States. I've been doing boxing punch mitts for over 20 years and has been teaching boxing classes and doing private boxing lessons for over 12 years now, I taught the 1st class at title boxing club on their opening day 10yrs ago which is where I picked up the name MasterMelvin.
I then started my on boxing academy (Pound 4 Pound Elite Boxing Academy) a couple years later in 2009 to help others achieve their boxing or fitness goals.
im very confident in what I do and has been very successful at it. I look forward to working with any and everyone that's ready for a real challenge and wanting to learn the right way.

my hourly rate is $75 and $40 for the half hr but the more you do the better deal I can do for you
How did you get started teaching?
i started teaching 2000 when I noticed that it wasn't very many boxing coaches that did one on one hands on training where I'm from and then I started teaching private boxing lessons at title boxing club when they opened and I took off from yhere
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
all boxing and Mma events. I've trained and coached many fights that's been televised. You name it I've done it.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
my advice would be to do your research 1st before you hire someone because a lot of these guys doesn't no what they're doing and will teach you wrong and bad habits that's hard to break.
