Carolina Kokikai Aikido
About
Hello and welcome to Carolina Kokikai Aikido, a dojo where you can learn the art of Aikido, a modern Japanese martial art that emphasizes harmony, self-defense, and personal growth. My name is Eric Horlbeck and I am the head instructor of this dojo.
I have been practicing Aikido for over 40 years and I hold a 6th degree black belt. I am certified by Kokikai International as an Aikido instructor.
Aikido is more than just a physical activity. It is a way of life that teaches us how to deal with conflicts peacefully, how to respect ourselves and others, and how to cultivate a positive and calm mind. Aikido is suitable for people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. No matter what your fitness level or experience, you can benefit from Aikido.
At Carolina Kokikai Aikido, we offer classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. Our classes are small and friendly, and we follow the principles of Kokikai Aikido, which are: keep one point, relax progressively, find correct posture, and develop positive mind.
If you are interested in joining us, please feel free to contact me or visit our dojo. You can also check out our schedule, fees, and location on this web page (https://sites.google.com/site/carolinakokikaiaikido/home). I look forward to meeting you and sharing the joy of Aikido with you.
