Sensei Long has been my instructor for about seven years at this point, from beginning as a white belt to where I stand now as a black belt. There are few individuals who have had such a profound impact on who I am as a person. He has taught me discipline, valuable life lessons, and how to better understand myself all through the medium of martial arts. In times where I have been frustrated, he has always found an effective way to motivate me to take another step forward. I’ve always felt his attention to detail when teaching and he’s extremely adaptable with each and every student he works with. I’ve never felt him to be a salesman, looking to make a quick buck, this is an individual who is truly passionate about martial arts. There’s no one else I would rather have as my teacher.

Sensei Long has been my mentor for the past three years, and his depth of knowledge in every aspect of martial arts is truly impressive. He’s always eager to share that knowledge with the students in a way that’s both encouraging and effective. What sets him apart, is his ability to adapt his teaching to each individual, he understands that every student learns differently and tailor’s each lesson accordingly. He supportive every step of the way and genuinely wants to see you succeed. Classes are always upbeat, new, challenging, and I’ll leave every session feeling motivated and excited for the next one.
