Mr. Scott has been my instructor for Jujitsu and defense labs. He is an excellent teacher. He explains things very well and teaches correct form. Hes good about making sure we are using correct technique on every skill.
Not only is Scott an exelent and knowledgeable instructor, hes a black belt in jujitsu and a very skilled fighter. He has such a good knowledge of the basics that he can predict different things that would happen. I havent won a match against him yet.

Scott Fuselier is a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and also teaches Defence Labs. My children and I had the privilege of being students in his Defense Lab training classes. He used reality-based combat to teach us self defense against multiple attackers. Teaching the correct technique is a high priority for him. This is one of the many things that make him a great instructor. He makes sure everyone in the class is learning the skills which he is teaching. He is patient with children and makes sure they too are successfully learning the skills. Each week he has the class review the skills they learned in previous classes. As a result of this, the skills I have learned have not been forgotten. I highly recommend him as an instructor for anyone interested in learning jujitsu or Defence Labs.

    Frequently asked questions

Students can call or text me to get to know me. Once a student is comfortable, we can meet where the student feels safe and I do an introductory class. That class is free. This gives the student a chance to see if I am a good fit.

I make regular trips to where my head instructors are so I can keep my techniques, and training fresh

    I charge $40 per 1 hr lesson.

I started teaching when I was training in Kenpo. My instructor was running late for class, so he called me and asked If I could start warming up the class. I did, the other students liked the way I ran class so my instructor started letting my self and a couple of senior students run class and teach some private lessons. I taught a grappling class on Saturdays with me having a blue belt in BJJ.

I have worked with Men, Women, Children, I have help trainged a person with a partial leg amputation.

I had the priviliage to promote a friend in Kenpo to his next rank, and a another person to thr rank of Blue Belt in BJJ. Seeing people grow and have confidance is an amazing part of being an instructor.

Background. Do your research. Couple of Examples 1) in BJJ there are alot of people who claim certian things. You can usually find out pretty quick if they are for real. Linage is important. Ask questions. And if some one says they know it all, dont even bother with that instructor. I openly admit I dont know it all. I have a team in each system that I go to for answers to questions I have.

Basics of the style they are trying to study. Modifications to techniques because of a physical limitation.
