In sharing my love of yoga, my vision as an instructor is to affect those I guide by elevating the awareness between the physical and energetic body connection. I teach Hatha yoga with a focus on connecting breath with movement while lengthening and strengthening the muscles. I also incorporate slow flow and holding some postures for improved strength, balance, flexibility and inward focus.
Having completed my RYT200 Yoga Alliance certification, additionally I have trained for traumatic stress recovery, healing and resiliency through yoga. I am in the midst of continuing my training for trauma-sensitive yoga at the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute.
Having diverse experience, I teach in a variety of settings including mountaintop and yurt yoga, local studios, fitness clubs, workshops, homes/workplace, rehabilitation facilities, department of corrections and trauma sensitive conditions.
My intentions are to create awareness and inspire others to realize the benefits gained from a physical, energetic and therapeutic yoga practice. I welcome all levels to my classes!
Kim's yoga classes are a beautiful blend of energy awareness, body movement and slowing down the mind. She creates a sacred space with her peaceful presence. When Kim guides you in your practice, she is sensitive to her use of words; suggesting choices, offering options and allowing you to be completely safe within your body. Her touch is supportive and deepens your sense of calm. It is a joy to practice with Kim and to experience the cumulative effects of true energetic awareness of the body through her classes.
