We not only teach self-defense but we cover survival skills. We also teach first aid CPR as well as bleeding control in case of a trauma situation.
I love educating people and the ability to pass on what I have learned throughout my life time in order to make my students safer

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For students that what to train at the school, they are asked to come in and try a class. If they feel what im teaching is what they're looking for then we register them.
For private clients, I like to talk to in person to get a feel for what they'really interested in learning.
Then we schedule a free session to show them how the lessons/training will be conducted.
And finally, if we both agree to proceed with the training we agree on compensation and schedule weekly training sessions that works for both parties.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Fitness: over 10 years of exercise training both personally and professionally.
Martial Arts: over 20 of training and over 8 years teaching.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as an assistant Instructor. Once I got my full instructorship or black belt my instructor encourage me to start teach on my own so I could develop my skills and I have continue teaching ever since.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you check your instructor's credentials. If you can, do a background check.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask about credentials..
are they still training?
do they look the part?
Ask for client references.
