About

Greg Borlan is a 6th degree Black Belt Senior Master Instructor and has been studying Combat Hapkido for over 20 years. He is a direct disciple of Grand Master Frank Huff, the New Jersey State Director for the International Combat Hapkido Federation. He also trains annually with Grand Master John Pellegrini, the founder of Combat Hapkido. Greg is a retired Police Captain, with over 28 years of law enforcement experience. He brings real world concepts to the training and infuses his experience to help the students gain an effective understanding of self defense.

Combat Hapkido is a practical, real-life self defense system. Often referred to as the "Science of Self Defense", it includes an extensive variety of strikes, kicks, joint locks, pressure points, grappling and weapons disarming techniques. Students learn dynamic concepts that are based on such scientific principles as anatomy and biokinetics, as well as psychology and strategy. The emphasis is on redirecting the assailant's force and controlling the attacker with minimum effort.
