About

I am an Integral Hatha yoga teacher, with experience teaching both new beginners and experienced yoga students, as well as restorative and chair yoga classes. This includes knowledgable instruction not only in the yoga poses, but also in meditation and pranayama breathing techniques. I am passionate about helping my students achieve healthful bodies and calm minds with their own personalized practice! If you have any questions, please let me know.

I love being able to help others for a living. Seeing students grow and develop with their practice is the most satisfying part for me. I love that "aha!" look or smile that happens the first time something new clicks, an knowing that the students appreciate the work, and feel it has made a positive effect in their life makes it all worth it

Frequently asked questions

It is most important to me to get to know the individual student, and their goals and needs first. A first lesson will usually be a large amount of talking, getting to know what they are specifically looking to get out of our lessons. It's also a great time to talk about any injuries or physical limitations they may have so that tmoving forward, the classes can be better tailored to their needs.

I am a 200hr trained Integral Hatha yoga instructor, and certified by Yoga Alliance

I got started as a teacher a few years into practicing yoga myself, when I realized that nothing could make me happier than giving the gift that yoga had been in my life to other people. I received my training and certification at the Integral Yoga Institute in Coimbatore, India

I have worked with students of all physical abilities, from gentle chair yoga for those with physical limitations, to exceptionally bendy people holding all kinds of fun poses. I am very firmly of the belief that yoga is for every body, and that if there is interest and dedication, anyone can and should practice yoga.

Ask questions! Know what your goals are in starting a yoga practice, and make sure to communicate those clearly at the beginning. There are a ton of fantastic yoga teachers out there, all with something slightly different to offer. The best way to get the classes you are looking for is to make sure you and the teacher are seeing eye to eye

Questions about the style of yoga they teach (and to explain it if you don't know what that means), if the can provide mats/props/etc and if so at what price, what a typical class might look like, if they can provide to any specific goals you may have as a student such as physical fitness, stress reduction, meditation, etc
