  My name is Irina Smirnova. I live in NYC for about 18 years, but originally from St.Petersburg Russia.

I've been practicing Qi-Yo Yoga and teaching it for almost 4 years. I really admire Qi-Yo yoga system and would like genuinely to share my knowledge, techniques, methods.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

 First of all, I'm trying to get to know the student from the very beginning.

What are his/her short and long-term goals in terms of yoga and physical activities in general. What does he/she would like to achieve in a class.

Then I just go through  a general agenda of Qi-Yo yoga, introducing students to 

QiYo Warm Up

Qi Yo Core

Asanas

Pranayama

Meditation

Relaxation

Some healing techniques that might be so helpful and beneficial in terms of spiritual develpment, body alignment and energetical uplift.

By the end of each lesson I alsways check the student's spiritual/mental/physical condition and support his/her relaxation or recovery process.


Lessons offered
