What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We provide one on one specially the children. For them to get the undivided attention they needed. We also provide evaluation see how they react or take up to our lessons provided. Some students in other martial arts discipline we offer go into the group but given individual attention as well.
They try our trial lessons. With encouragement from our teaching staff, the student assess the lesson value to continue.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Martial arts education taught in a very traditional setting since 1964. Disciple Traditional Tien Shan Pai Kung fu and Tai-Chi, 8th Dan in Kenpo Karate jujitsu, Heir to Robles Family Fillipino Kali arts, Master License in Muay Thai, and Distinguished and Certified, 8th Dan Kenpo Karate jujitsu from the same teacher Grandmaster T. Gasper for 44 years. Grandmaster Taningco inducted in "World of Martial Arts Hall" of Fame" and Ohio Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Awarded by USMC "Martial Arts Excellence" and former World USKA Champion. Legion of Honor by MVTA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. All of our membership has 3, 6, 12 months agreement that is both payable by month or up front.
Our cost pricing ranges from $115 to $99 per month. Most classes are offered at least 2-3 times per week and some disciplines offered more.
How did you get started teaching?
For Self-Protection, self-confidence, discipline and the challenge of learning martial arts as an art.
What types of students have you worked with?
All walks of life. Many children have ADD, many children has problem concentrating. Many are very quiet and do not have confidence about themselves. Some are very hard on themselves We provide solutions to these because of many, many years of experience in teaching kids and adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Teaching kids to stand still without saying "be quiet" - this is an awesome sight to see. We have many wonderful stories to tell. The best is come in and start and be part of TAMA martial arts family.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
They must have great patience, must know how to solve problem issues with the child, and must know how to direct their full attention to what the task is. Must be a great leader to serve students.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Question about their learning disabilities if any. Question about any type of physical disabilities if any.
