What is Evidence-Based Training?
Simply put, evidence based training just means training in a way that is proven to work and backed up by legitimate scientific research. Unfortunately, we live in a world of internet experts where everybody has an opinion on everything. It's easier than ever to google "how to get in shape" or "how to get big arms" and read the first nonsense that pops up. The reality is that most things you read about fitness on the internet are half-truths, circumstantial truths, or blatantly wrong. This is a tough pill to swallow because not many people have the time, energy, or education to sift through sea of bad advice to find the good advice...
...And that's where ASF comes in. Being up to date on the latest fitness research is what we do so that you don't have to.
I look forward to going to work each and every day for a myriad of reasons. First and foremost, making a tangible and positive impact in somebody's life is what fulfills me as a professional. Secondly, learning the science behind human fitness has been my life's passion and I look forward to learning new information as new research is published.
Before training with Kyle, I was scared to try new workouts in the gym - you would only find me on the elliptical or treadmill! After receiving months of training from Kyle, I feel more comfortable trying new equipment and challenging myself with weights in the gym. Kyle has taught me the correct form for different workouts and what parts of the body I am strengthening during each move. I have seen more progress that I have ever imagined physically and mentally. I can always count on having a fun and motivating session with Kyle!
Before working out with Kyle, my gym routine was limited to the basic machines and exercises. Kyle has taught me what exercises are best suited for specific parts of the body and how to utilize different gym machines, and I now have the confidence to expand my workouts at home and on my own at the gym. His app gives you the abiliity to track your progress and sync with other apps for nutrition tracking as well. His guidance and advice gives you the knowledge and tools to achieve your individual health goals!
