About

Instructor has been practicing tai chi chuan for over 30 years and knows Yang and Chen styles. He also practices qigong. Happy to teach individuals and small groups. He enjoys the internal aspects and push hands. He holds teaching certifications from Clear's Tai Chi, Flowing Zen Qigong, and Tai Chi for Health.

I love practicing authentic tai chi chuan and sharing it with others as it's great for daily balance training and developing mind-body connection. I've attended some local free group classes by others and I can say that my teaching is much more than just learning a movement follow along dance routine. It's so nice to see the progress my student's make in such a short time. The individual attention has allot to do with it as well as my experience.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to discover what the student desires from the training. I break down the concepts to make them easy to learn.

Over 30 years practicing the arts. I still have allot to learn myself.

    No

I am a retired occupational therapist and started using tai chi chuan and qigong as tools for providing therapy to my patients.

All age ranges from 20 to 80.  Many with challenging medical conditions.

Fond of swimming and walking several miles each day and playing my saxophones.   Favorite times are spent with my dear wife and adult children and grand children. I also love practicing real life martial aspects of the art with my more advanced students who desire to go further into tai chi as self defense.

Find a person who wants to see you improve and that you get along with.  It's also good to have a teacher who lives a healthy lifestyle. Find someone who offers the skills you desire and can demonstrate them.

Why do you want to learn tai chi, is it for health and improved movement, meditation, fighting?   What kind of physical demands are you expecting from the practice of the art?  What skills do you want to develop through the practice to improve your life a year from now? Are you willing to practice during non class times?
