Nashville Private Yoga, Flexibility, And Meditation Sessions And Lessons
About
Lindsay Garric is a certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist.
Her yoga, meditation, and fitness instruction fuses a variety of yogic traditions with physical and spiritual modalities and is always customized to her students' personal needs.
She holds additional certifications in Baptiste Power Yoga, Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Yoga for Trauma, Y12SR – Yoga for 12-Step Recovery, Resistance Stretching, Reiki and more.
She became a Personal Trainer in 1999 and a student of yoga in 2000. Her first love is Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. Lindsay started “sharing her yoga practice” in 2004 and has since worked in gyms, boutique studios, clinical, corporate, higher education, online, and private settings.
Lindsay offers private sessions, corporate and group classes that draw from a variety of movement and spiritual traditions, always with an emphasis on breath, alignment, and safety. All of her classes are mindfully infused with the elements of Western fitness: cardio, strength, balance, flexibility and functional movement. Regardless of modality, they always include meditation and deep relaxation. She also offers private, corporate and group Holistic Health and Wellness education and coaching, as well as assisted stretching sessions.
Participants are always encouraged to modify as necessary to honor themselves and for a personal experience.
Lindsay maintains a daily yoga and meditation practice and considers herself a perpetual student. An honest practitioner of integrated health, nutrition, and wellness personally and professionally, she is grateful for the opportunity to serve her students and clients.
I love empowering people to meet their health and wellness goals via the wealth of resources yoga offers. Our yoga sessions will be highly individualized, meeting you where you are at, but ultimately taking you to new places of personal and physical growth.

How did you get started teaching?
Through my love of practice. :)
What types of students have you worked with?
I have over 19 years of practice teaching and coaching in many modalities with diverse populations including beginners and clients with injuries.
I coach clients in-person and remotely to improve their health and wellness using motivational interviewing and active listening. Through recognizing their change readiness and developing steps for implementing new habits, I’ve successfully coached clients to weight loss and lifestyle modifications, thereby facilitating achievement of their health goals and wellness improvements.
My training, teaching and leadership style flexes according to the client and to the specific environment. I can be Zen and nurturing when needed, but I tend to be a fun-centric motivator who pushes people to be their best with a combo of modeling behaviors/movements, charismatic banter, and creative sequencing.
I believe education, inspiration, and communication are the keys to successful student/teacher relationships.

Anything with healthful or international food! I really love the InternNASHional Food Crawl and discovering new places to enjoy food that nourishes the body and soul!

Give a new teacher at least one month, once a week to see if you're a fit.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are they dedicated to working with a teacher on a regular basis and practicing in-between visits?
