I love seeing people's growth through Mixed Martial Arts, whether it be boxing, Brazilian Jiujitsu, wrestling, or kickboxing helping one improve on their passion.

I started training in 1996 and I was a competitor in the sport for 17 years. I fought under the lights of almost every promotion of my era including StrikeForceFC, PRIDEFC, Bellator, HooknShoot, Superbrawl, Shooto and was at one time considered the Uncrowned Champion of the UFC's Lightweight division. Since my retirement I have been a fight analyst, commentator and coach and now that Ive recently relocated back in the houston area where I started my career I"m excited to share my knowledge with combat sports aficionados.

I have been in love with martial arts since I was a 3 year old boy in the Bahamas and my uncle brought home a betamax copy of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. As I grew I took every opportunity to watch martial arts movies until I had a chance to learn it. I have trained in traditional martial arts such as Karate and Kung Fu and began training in the disciplines of Mixed Martial Arts in 1996 after attaining my green card and first paycheck. I started teaching in 1998 and aside from my own personal successes in competition my greatest joy is watching and/or being there near the mat, ring or cage helping or watching a student or training partner have their own success; and it's even more of a bonus when those successes involve techniques or scenarios we've developed answers for.
