Rodriguez ATA Martial Arts Academy is part of the American Taekwondo Association, which we are located in Highland Village while serving the surrounding areas of Flower Mound, Lantana, Argyle and Lewisville in Martial Arts instruction. We are a family where Martial Arts is our daily passion and a way of life. We have a family atmosphere and have many programs available for all age groups. Our Philosophy is to promote good health, confidence, life skills, and of course how to defend yourself. Mr. Richard Rodriguez (Chief Instructor)
(Taekwondo 4th Degree Black Belt, Purple Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu & School Owner)
Mr. Rodriguez started his Martial Arts training over 16 years ago.. He is a certified instructor through the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) STF (Songham Taekwondo Federation) and WTTF (World Traditional Taekwondo Federation). He has additional training in Krav Maga, Creative Martial Arts, Weapons and he is a Purple Belt n Kama/Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Ryan Young (Black Belt in Kama/Gracie Jiu-Jitsu). He has competed in many Taekwondo Tournaments where he has won at the Regional & National level throughout his Martial Arts career. Mr. Rodriguez also works closely with local communities and local schools promoting seminars in Bully Prevention, Child Safety and Self Defense. Mr. Rodriguez lineage to his Black Belt in Taekwondo is as follows: Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee > Chief Master William Clark > Master Andy Sylva > Master Jeff Asesor. Mr. Rodriguez lineage and training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu is under Master Rickson Gracie> Professor Dave Kama> Professor Ryan Young.
