Based in Lubbock, Texas, and serving the surrounding areas, BASE Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, founded in 2019, is a respected academy led by 2nd Degree Black Belt Head Instructor, Gabe Hernandez. Affiliated with Team LEAD, BASE ranked #8 globally in 2021. Gabe, an active competitor, has a history of medaling in IBJJF sanctioned tournaments across the U.S., including a 2020 Masters Worlds Silver Medal. His most recent achievement includes a silver medal at the IBJJF International Masters Europe in Barcelona, Spain.
