I have 29 years of martial arts experience. I've competed as a Pro Kick Boxer & MMA fighter since 2004 locally, nationally, & internationally. Since retiring 8 yrs ago. I enjoy helping others in their martial arts journey. Whether, it's boxing, kick boxing, grappling/bjj, karate, or MMA ect. It's a joy of mine to teach! I'm currently a 6th degree Senior Master Instructor with the famous Bushi Ban Martial Arts and Fitness in Pasadena Tx.

I enjoy the satisfaction of see the progression of an individual. When the student (child, adolescent, or adult) has the "Ah Ha" moment in their life and how these small moments change them for the good!

Frequently asked questions

Getting to know their wants and needs first and then building a program that's catered to increasing and diversifing their talents.

I have 25 years of my life teaching and training in a very diversified martial system and I am still learning and growing!

I charge $45 to $55 a session depending on the level and specific skill set. Part of the proceeds got to of the facility I rent. I do this at a professional martial arts school that I'm affiliated with so I do not teach my private students normally during their hours of operation, unless I have prior approval from my Teacher. Also, my schedule varies nights to days. So, I try to be consistent and committed to my scheduling times .

My teacher asked me to help in his class 25+ years ago. I enjoyed helping others with my experiences training and sharing different aspects of training of martial arts in general.

Young children as young as 3 years to adults as mature at 70+ years. I've had a experience & honor teaching some mentality and physically disabled (autistic and multiple sclerosis)

Always find out about martial arts back ground and pedigree. Do he or she has a in-depth knowledge & certification of a martial system that you would like to study.
Next, meet the instructor or teacher and see how they interact with you and or your child. Watch them in a class and see fire they instruct and help other students if that's available. Finally, search how you feel about your instructor / teacher. Personally, I ask myself, Dose he or she live by honor, honesty, integrity and are true to what they are teaching or are you / child a "financial opportunity" only. Usually, I enjoy giving a free lesson to help an student / teacher get to know one another. Ease tensions or anxiety and help one another to grow. My teacher used to tell me: "I order to grow your student, you must first know your student." I strive to know and understand first.
