Hello I'm Master Palomo! I've been teaching martial arts for over 20 years now. The focus of my teaching is on self-discipline, self-confidence, and focus. My staff and I strive to give the best education we can in karate and jiu-jitsu. My school has produced over 100 state champions and we create them both in and out of the ring! Our staff enjoys a fast pace learning environment. Every child learns different and at their own pace and we enjoy making sure each child excels! You will never find group testing for belts here! We give each child the attention they deserve and test accordingly.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each student learns at their own pace and this is something the mongoose staff understands. For new students to get comfortable, we have a trial system and a buddy system for them. The trail is to see if he/she will truly enjoy learning martial arts and the buddy is to help the new student learn basic techniques.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in teaching, my office manager has a bachelors in psychology , and my other instructor is currently pursing a degree in physical therapy. I have been teaching martial arts for over 20 years. My office manager and other instructor are both black belts and have been teaching for me for 5+ years

We have a trial for 39.95 for 3 weeks to see if the student truly enjoys martial arts and they receive a free shirt!!!
How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved teaching and began learning as a child. This is something I'm truly passionate about and I believe that it is my duty to help each student who comes through my door in any way I can.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. We have handled behavior difficulties, students with ADHD, students with low confidence/self esteem, students with learning disabilities, students with Autism, and many more. The type of student doesn't matter so much as their drive to succeed. We work with students from ages 3 and up and we always find a way to help them learn.
