Ken is patient, attentive, and empowering. He works towards making sure people in his class, no matter what age, feel safe and encourages them to accomplish what they didn’t think was possible. I feel safer walking around late at night, especially as a womxn, knowing that I have the skills to defend myself if necessary,

This is a great class for families (children and adults) or individuals. It is a combination of good practice (forms, kicks, punches, etc) and fun activities for children and adults. Highly recommend it. It is also very beginner-friendly

He makes it fun and challenging. He teaches to each persons level if you are a beginner or more advanced and the price is very affordable.

Ken is a wonderful teacher and is really good with the kids, even the very young. We felt like his class was a perfect fit for us, as we were curious about Tae Kwon Do, but not ready to join anything too high-pressure.

    Frequently asked questions

To a new student Martial Arts can be a little intimidating. It was for me when I first started. I start a new student off slow by teaching them the basic stances. I then move on to applying punches and kicks. I allow them to get the feel of sparring. I will begin teaching them their first form, Chun-Ji and some simple self defense techniques. I let them know the rules I have for my class, the most important one is, Have Fun!

I have been involved with Tae Kwon Do for 30 years and have been teaching for 20 years.
