Basic Wing Chun
About
These lessons will teach the building blocks of Wing Chun Kung Fu fighting style. I have studied this art since 2006, in Tempe, AZ, according to the Man-Ming-Fong-Chaudhuri teaching lineage. My goal is to teach students enough skill and training to defend themselves if necessary, but to also avoid physical conflict when it is wise to do so. This art does not have a belt ranking system. It requires patience, motivation to practice on one’s own time, calmness, respect for fellow students and teachers, and does not require great muscle mass or brute strength. Rather, we learn to coordinate the body to strike with quick, efficient “explosive power”. This is an art that specializes in close quarters combat.
I’m happy to guide people along this path to feeling more confident that they can defend themselves and their loved ones. I like to see students make progress in attaining higher levels of self control.
