About this pro

At Reverence Yoga we firmly believe that the sacred practice of yoga should be available and accessable to everyone no matter there station in life. Our staff takes the time to focus on proper allignment to educate our clients on the importance of a strong foundation to get into many variations of asanas.

In this day and age the spiritual side of the yogic practice as been washed away and westernized to more of the practice of asana/poses. We weave in the spiritual side and invite our clients to take in the wholeness of the yogic practice without any judgement.

We offer Reiki Training/attunements at level 1 & 2, Master Attunements are available by special request only.

It is truly the hightest honor to expierence the joy and happieness that my students express after attending one of my classes.

It has a really good vibe, very open and friendly. The instructors are all very nice and do a great job of taking you through the practice and encouraging you to push yourself. All the other yogis are just as encouraging and friendly so by the end of class you have some new friends. Overall it's a great place to be and practice at. ❤🧘‍♀️

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

It is always important to get to know each student's goals, potential areas of concern, any injuries or previous surgeries.

The types and styles of yoga will be explained to them so that they may choose which type of yoga style may best suit them. I will always reccomend starting with a gentle Hatha if this is the studen'ts first expierence in yoga.

How did you get started teaching?

I first started my Yogic Journey fourteen years ago when I was introduced to Vinyasa yoga. After using Yoga and the power of Reiki Energy healing to heal my own trauma I realized a passion for helping others discover and experience the benefits of Yoga & Reiki energy healing.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with the following students:

-Prenatal

-Elderly

-Injured

-Advanced

-Beginners

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently lead a class with many different types of students ranging from full term prenatal, beginners, teenagers, elderly with a walker.

I was able to get everyone into the correct variations of the poses that they needed with grace and ease. Everyone enjoyed the class. My heart was filled with such gratitude.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would advise them to try one session first and give the feedback to the instructor as to how they felt after the class and see if they would like to continue further. Some times the student doesn't feel comfortable with their instructor. The goal is for the instructor to provide a calm and open learning environment for the student with out the worry of being judged.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

1. What injuries or medical conditions they may need to make the intructor aware of so that they can properly design the class to the student's needs.

2. What are they looking to get out of the yoga class? A deeper spiritual connection? Stronger body? Stretching stiff body? Rehabing from a previous injury or stress management?

3. Are they against any essential oils or inscense for savasana (final resting pose) massage?

4. Are they open to physical adjustments and assists if needed?
