Frequently asked questions

I will first understand what you wanted to achieve via yoga practice; what reaasons you came to yoga practices; how you wanted be assisted; you body/health conditions you wanted to share to help me understand how to design/modify the private or group lessons to help enhance your health. Then, I will make sure the waiver form, agreemnent and payment are taken care of before the class starts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I finished 200 hour Heart-Based Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program & the Mentorship Program with Body Temple Yoga School in San Jose, CA, USA. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). I am also a ACE certified Health Coach.

$400 for 4 private lessons; the 1st experience lesson will be free.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in yoga studio in person; then I moved to teach online yoga (group and private) when the pandemic started in March 2020. Now, I am doing both in person (outdoor yoga) and vitual as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types of clients; but majority of them are 30+ who are looking for enhancing their health via yoga instead of using yoga as an cardio workout exercise.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I grew up in Taiwan so I am so looking forward to the Chinese New Year. It is very similar to Westen's Christmas or Thanksgiving. Our family will get together. We enjoy some certain types of food that will bring the good fortune; we give kids red envelopes with cash inside and they will put them under their pillows. We will wear the brand-new clothes on Chinese New Year Day so we will have a brand new start; we will also clean the house before the New Year Eve. The memories linked to the Chinese New Year remind me how important it is to enjoy and cherish the moments we have.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You are your own teacher and I am just here to guide you to help yourself to be ready to empower yourself; trusting you have the energy and power within to not only in the yoga mat but also in your daily life. Sometimes life can be busy and we lost our compass and don't know how to put that reset button in our busy daily life to just simply take a long slow breath; yoga this tool will help achieve that: help you breath and go back to that reset mode.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
- what is my goal/intention for the yoga practice?
- How do I want the teacher to assit me to achieve my goal/intention?
- what does yoga mean for me?
