About
I have been teaching Hatha and restorative style yoga from an Iyengar based teacher for the last 6 years. I have taught to schools, individuals looking to recover from injuries, small groups looking for a yoga flow style workout, and pregnant women seeking to prepare their bodies for the big moment. I believe in the power of yoga with all of my heart and desire that everyone incorporates the practice into their daily routine.
I enjoy doing the practice and exploring new ways to communicate with my body on my own. Sharing my experiences with my students is especially rewarding. Especially when I see the immediate benefit they get from doing the poses in its proper form while adding the very important component of pranayama or breathing technique.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start the class asking them if they have any specific needs that need to be met. I then start the class usually with a small pranayama portion and gently work from their throughout the classes either from the floor or starting in Tadasan or mountain pose which is a basic standing position. I almost always end my classes in either legs up the wall or savasana which is a lying down posture.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 200 hour level yoga certification from the gift of yoga center in Sonora California. I also have an 85 hour level prenatal yoga certification from The Yoga Garden in San Francisco California.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard price is $30 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. If the client would like to go longer then the class would go up by 15 minutes for 15 dollars more.
How did you get started teaching?
My old dance instructor need new instructors so I have it a try back in 2014 and absolutely fell in love with it. I've been to teacher trainings, workshops, and do continuous study of books an online seminars to better understand the practice and philosophy of yoga.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with the general public, pregnant women, people with all kinds of disabilities including paralysis, children as young as 2 years old, the elderly as well as people with other pre existing conditions like bronchitis and fibromyalgia.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm fond of the peaceful Black Lives Matter protests and having close friends and family who have been affected by police brutality it makes me overjoyed to see the amount of support going to the cause for change in this country.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Give the instructor an honest try. If you find you cannot follow their specific instructions and you aren't getting much benefit it could not only be a waste of time for you but also dangerous because their is the risk of injury with an instructor that isn't as experienced and knowledgeable about the practice of yoga. I would also advise to let the instructor know from the start of class if their are any pre existing conditions like high blood pressure or brain injury so that the class is careful not to include poses that could put the student at risk.
