Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We'll sit down first and chat to find out how we're able to best help out. Then we'll review a couple of options and decide if the student is a good fit for one of our trainers. From there, we'll agree on a program that fits the students' needs and get the ball rolling!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our Coaches hold multiple certifications as well as a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology or Applied Exercise Science.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our 1-on-1 coaching is priced at $65 per session, while our group programs are $25 or less per session.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been teaching all my life. I started out teaching tutoring classmates in middle school, began tutoring and teaching classes through high school and college, then ended up where I am now - teaching people to live healthier and happier lives!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I think this recent pandemic has definitely ended up disastorously, but the silver lining is that I'm seeing a lot more people start to realize that health is important and that means a lot to me.
Through my career as a trainer, I've seen, way too many times, people come in and tell me how their doctor just diagnosed them with a chronic disease and now they've got no option but to address their health. I don't want people to reach that point before they start.
So I'm really hoping that as we come out of this mess, we're able to put more attention to our health and wellbeing.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Health and wellness is a lifelong journey. If you're really in it for the long run, find a coach that's not only got expertise, but that you actually get along with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is your goal? Why haven't you been able to accomplish that on your own?
What is the one thing that a trainer can most help you out with?
What does your schedule look like? Are you able to commit time outside of training hours to stretch and complete your own workouts?
How much 1-on-1 attention do you need? The cost of coaching typically correlates with how much personal attention you'll need.
