About

One word : Cogency. I'm experienced in both competition as well as coaching. I've been boxing for 25 years, 8+ of those have been coaching. Boxing and human performance have been a big part of my life for most of my life and I plan to make a career of it. I'm a recent graduate of the human biology program at USC (fight on!) with my emphasis on human performance. I’m also a graduate student at the Duke School of Medicine.

It' something that I'm very passionate about and because of that, I tend to attract like minded individuals and so personalities, mentality and work ethic are always in tune between me and my students. I'm not everyone's cup of tea and neither is everyone and everyone likes it that way. I love what I do because I doesn't feel like work . People are really hooked on this boxing stuffed and I'm blessed to be able to share that with people who value this sport .

    Frequently asked questions

1st, we would start warming up with 2 rounds of jump rope at 3 mins a round, followed by 2 rounds of shadow boxing ( this is where we learn what to do and get our body used to the notion before adding force and impact on the focus mitts). Next we would work on the focus mitts  for 6-8 rounds with a one minute rest in between each round of course. With the remaining 14 minutes, we would take one round off if necessary, then finish off the last 10 minutes with abdominal work. This is exactly what a real boxing workout consists of except more of everything and a lot less mitt work ; getting to hit the pads as a boxer is a luxury! Sometimes we might go over our time by 5 or 10 minutes, reason being is that I like to finish when we're finished not when time is up
