Hi everyone! I have been dancing since I was 4 years old and I absolutely love sharing my lifelong passion for dance and yoga with others. My early background includes classical and contemporary ballet training from Gustafson School of Dance and theater arts in various professional companies in my hometown of Santa Barbara. I received my B.A. in Dance in 2012 from UC Irvine, one of the top dance universities in the country. Here, I trained in ballet, jazz and modern dance and was selected as a distinguished choreographer and created several original works of choreography. I spent my senior year in Ghana, learning traditional African dance, choreography, and movement therapy. During the past 3 years of my time living in the Bay Area, I received my yoga instruction certifications from Yoga to the People in San Francisco, Rainbow Kids Yoga, The Mind Body Awareness Project, and The Art of Yoga Project. I have taught in various schools through nonprofit organizations such as Everybody Dance Now! and Dance the Bay. I have been teaching children's yoga and creative movement at Left Coast Power Yoga, Then Comes Baby, and Hearts and Minds Preschool. I lead individual and group meditations as well as private and group yoga and fitness instruction for teens and adults.I am interested in catering to each student's individual needs, honoring their unique creativity and self-expression so that together, we work to reach goals, develop strength of mind and body, and have a great time feeling healthy, empowered and proud! I aim to create a nurturing learning environment where each student feels safe taking risks and growing to new heights. I can't wait to meet you!
