About

Hi there! I’m Andrew, the Founder of Kaizen Academy. For over 8 years, I've had the pleasure of teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a passion that started back in 2016 when I began training under Scott Huston at 360 BJJ. In 2019, I made the move to sunny California, where I continued my journey and was proudly awarded my black belt by Jason Hunt in 2023.

At Kaizen Academy, I’m dedicated to building not just a well-rounded BJJ program, but also a vibrant and supportive community. Whether it's through teaching classes, coaching at tournaments, or organizing family events, my goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome and motivated.

On a personal note, I’m a proud dad to two wonderful girls, Alana and Ashton, who my wife Jessica and I are raising here in Playa del Rey. You’ll often see them running around the academy, adding to the family-friendly atmosphere we cherish.
