Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always find out how the student's body feels (are there any new or old injuries we should be aware of) and what their main goals are (stress relief, weight loss, strength, flexibility, pain reduction, etc) and create sessions that safely heal the body and help the student reach their goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and also an expereinced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) as well as a certified personal trainer (CPT) and corrective exercise specialist (CES). I have thousands of hours of training and teaching and have taught thousands of students.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all ages and all bodies! Seriously...teenagers up to 90+ years young :)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Every teacher has a different personality and approach. Don't stop if you've tried one and didn't love it! There's someone out there for you. It's like flavors of ice cream...everyone enjoys something different. Don't settle for something that doesn't make you excited and motivated to move!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I need to know about your body and how you are feeling? I customize everything to my students' unique bodies, lifestyle, and environment!
