I'm passionate about teaching and really try to understand what the students goals are.
I enjoy seeing people become more confident knowing they are getting fit and can defend themselves if needed. Also, I enjoy seeing my students win in competitions related to MMA and Jiu Jitsu tournaments.
Professor Bernard has been my Jiu Jitsu instructor for over 3 years. He is very patient, technical & works on bring the most out of you. I have competed in 4 Jiu Jitsu Tournaments with him as my coach & I have placed 4 bronze medals, 1 silver medal & 1 gold medal. If you want to learn Jiu Jitsu he is so highly recommended!
Very knowledgeable and able to communicate technic. Great training partner.
Early morning classes, He’s black belt and shows us all his technical moves and why they’re performed a certain way. Thanks Bernie we really appreciate you!
Huge attention to detail, lots of individual time spent perfecting techniques, explanation of self defense/practical applications, and was able to train even when injured by instructor showing me modified grip methods. Personal relationship with professor and not just purely business. Highly recommend professor Bernie!
My typical process for working with a student is first understanding their goals and making sure I can help them. Second, I'll schedule a first class for them to underatand how I teach and make sure that they would enjoy having me as their coach.
I'm a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I currently teach and train Jiu Jitsu. Additionally, I also box.
I don't have a standard pricing, but sessions can range from 60 to 90 minutes per session. I am available 5 days per week.
I started teaching 3 years ago and feel in love with teaching students.
I've worked with students that want to compete in Jiu Jitsu and MMA.
I've recently had a few students win Gold and their MMA fights. I've also had students who want to lose weight and learn self defense.
Make sure they are willing to allow you to see their style of teaching and that your personality aligns with theirs.
Have an understanding of what you want to do. What is your initial reason for wanting to train martial arts?
