They come in for a free class to try it out and see if it's a good fit for them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have over 30 years in the martial arts.  We also have a member of our staff that had several years volunteering at a sexual assault response center where she spent 40+ hours being trained as a first responder and peer advocate

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We charge $100 a month with no contracts, although we do offer discounts for 6 and 12 month pre-pays.  We also have drop in rates that vary based on class.   All prices are clearly listed on our website

How did you get started teaching?

We had an instructor leave at my college so I took over teaching the classes for 3 years.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages ranges and have experience working with childeren suffering from ADHD and Autism disorders.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Choose someone that you like and feel that you can trust.  Make sure it's someone interested in teaching, not just taking your money.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think about what your trying to achieve through the martial arts?  Better fitness, a systems of self-defense, MMA ring fighting, or maybe it's just something you have always been interested in.   Regardless of the reason make sure you ask questions that will help you decide if this school will meet your needs.
