What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working together we first need to understand your goals and objectives. From there we can make a plan of attack and navigate through the problems you would face on your own.

In regards to my training I've had 13 years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and hold a Black Belt under GFTeam as well as training in judo and Russian Sambo. With numerous years of competition and coaching I posses the skilled needed to help you atchiaryour goals.

How did you get started teaching?
I start martial arts as a troubled teen and after awhile of training and competitions I began to help instruct kids classes and eventually became a assistant instructor to both kids and adults. I then found myself working in different gyms as an adult working with both group classes and private training. After years of working for other gyms I then moved on to my own school and now with a business partner I run our own martial arts programs for both kids and adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
In my experiences I've had the pleasure of working with many people from all walks of life. I've worked with everyone from pro and amateur fighters to the hobbiest.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When hiring any teacher for anything... Adkins a lot of questions. Unfortunately in what experience do it's not hard to cheat and fool people into believing false credentials. Ask questions and do your research on a teacher.
Also, human beings are like puzzle pieces. Some fit together and some do not.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Always ask your yourself what are your goals and needs... Can this teacher help you reach those goals and needs...
