The Niseido® Ju Jitsu philosophy as taught, promoted and promulgated by Prof. Rick Riccardi and all Niseido® Ju Jitsu Instructors is that Niseido® Ju Jitsu is not an art of offense, but defense. We are never the attackers, only the defenders. However, one should never take our position of non aggression as a sign of weakness or cowardness. Because while we choose not to fight, one should not make the grave mistake of placing us in a situation whereby we will have to defend, because our defense (only if necessary) will be relentless and unforgiving.
