About
Alex was born in Miami, Florida in 1971. At the age of 16 he started boxing with Raul Hernandez at PAL Miami Beach Boxing. He became Golden Glove Champion at the age of 17. In 1988 he won the Sunshine State Games in the Jr. Welterweight division.
His boxing career is extensive. He trained at some of the best camps and sparred with world champions like:
Roberto Duran Hector Macho Camacho
Frankie Randall Pernell Whitaker Meldirck Taylor
Juan La Porte Jermaine Taylor Glenn Johnson.
With 24 years of boxing experience and over 20 Professional fights, he has never been knocked out. His most memorable bouts are the following:
In 1996 he fought Gorbois Bartelemy from Cuba for the NBA championship belt
In 1997 he fought Fernando Vargas which was televised on Pay Per View
Because of his passion for boxing and his natural ability as a teacher, he dedicated his life to helping people learn the art of boxing in a safe, correct and proper way.
What I like most about boxing is your learning how to defend YOURSELF while getting into great shape! Boxing is everything rolled up in one you got your cardio while your sculpting your body. Great way to improve your health while your releasing your STRESS.
