I've been in the art for almost 20 years and have trained a wide range of students from beginners (with no martial arts training) to highly experienced martial arts instructors.

I am proud to have developed my beginners a self defense and combative arsenel within a short time. For my experienced martial artists, the art doesn't just add more to their arsenal; but I've witenessed them increase their their speed, power, control, and reflexes; across all their other disciplines.

I have watched the art exponentially grow and continue to make huge strides but, Filipino Martial Arts has still a ways to go and be known by the majority. Because of it's practical combative and self defense nature; many that learn about tend to jump in.

I invite you to definilty explore Filipino Martial Arts and maybe we can take the journey together.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We encourage those exploring to come try a free class, get some hands on insights, and make sure it aligns with their goals and exectations.

Given the combative nature of the art; after we accept a student; everyone (beginners and experienced) are started with the basics and fundamentals. The basics and fundamentals are the foundation for where the student will learn to build their speed, power, reflexes, and where all the techniques will be built upon.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am certified Full Qualified Instructor (Level 7) under the Filipino Martial Arts System of Taboada Balintawak Arnis/Kali/Eskrima.

To attain this level, that means I not only have shown exceptional profiency in the art but, have also trained/produced a student to a Level 6 Completion of the Art (black belt).
