I am Elizabeth, long time yoga enthusiast and practitioner for almost 30 years. I started to practice yoga in 1990 and continue since.
I’ve tried many styles of yoga, hatha yoga, ashtanga, anusara yoga, yin, vinyasa, I enjoyed all styles and learned that no matter, what style it is, the most important is teacher’s experience, as experience is the best teacher, and consistency of practice.
I started my teaching career in 2010, after graduating from year-long, 200 Hour, teachers training at Himalayan Yoga and Meditation Center.
I’ve been teaching at HYMC, where I did my training, than I opened my studio, Guru Lounge Yoga ( guru is
a Sanskrit word for teacher) in Skokie, where I live.
It’s been my 9th year of teaching and I enjoy my work a lot... the challenge of creating just a right practice for every individual student, depending on her/his goals, injury/pain, any limitation of movement, whatever it might be...
It is challenging but very rewarding to my students and me as a teacher.
I offer a private classes exclusively.
My classes are best suited for people who never did yoga before or are beginners, and are looking for an experienced teacher, to help them established a proper practice align with their individual strength and flexibility level.
Also, people who have specific injury/ pain and want to find relief through a suitable yoga practice would find my classes very suitable and really beneficial.
I have experience working with students with ankle, knee, lower back, sciatica injury/ pain.
What my experience shows:
with consistent, diligent, properly designed yoga practice you can get well!
The most enjoyable part of my work is watching my clients yoga practice grows.
Wittnesing, how confident and gracefull their poses become, and how appreciative of the changes their become.
Seeing how meaningfull the practice of yoga becomes to my clients.
It is so uplifting and rewarding for me as a teacher!
