Hey There! My name is Shannon and I would love to teach you yoga! I am a certified Power Vinyasa Yoga instructor. Power Vinyasa can be a pretty intense and athletic style of yoga but I believe that anyone can feel successful with any type of yoga. I have a small home studio great for me and a client to meet, discuss their goals, and flow together. If you are looking to learn the basics and have a trained eye help you find your best alignment, or if you are more experienced and looking for help taking your practice to the next level, I am here for you! I also teach some meditation if you are looking for meditation practices to include in your yoga routine.
I love to make students feel successful. It sometimes can be intimidating to ask questions of a teacher in a group setting, but if you have a nagging question about alignment or movement in a pose, I would love to answer it. I also love helping students work into poses for the first time. Let me know your goals!

I love to start by sitting with them to talk about their yoga goals and what they hope to gain from the classes and what intensity they hope the class will be. Once we've met for a bit, I will take them through a basic flow sequence where I can see their knowledge and basic alignment and they can hear my teaching style. If we get along, then I'll start crafting specialized classes for them.
I am an RYT-200 Yoga instructor who is certified through CorePower Yoga. I am also a runner, rock climber, and theater professional.
In my studio, I charge $20 for the initial meeting/short intro class and $30 for each custom designed hour-long class after that. If I am traveling to you, there is an additional travel fee that can be discussed on a case by case basis.
If you would like to come to a group class of mine, I am happy to provide you my permanent class schedule and the respective drop in fees there.
I started taking yoga because I love the intensity of a yoga practice without the stress on my body that came with running or lifting weights. As my personal practice progressed, I decided to enroll in teacher training to grow more as a student. However, as I began to learn to teach it awakened in my a desire to show others the amazing ways of yoga!
