Allegro Moves Fitness
About
Individual attention for every client to help with any goal. Pilates is an amazing exercise form that helps every client feel stronger, sleep better, build stamina in other athletic activities and lesson pain from back and joint issues. After rehabilitating hips from severe tendonitis in my professional ballet career, I realized how powerful Pilates could be for any client.
Helping clients move, function and feel better is what I love about being a Pilates trainer. Whether you just want less pain or want to increase speed and agility in your chosen sport, Pilates is the exercise you need.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first session would be to assess the student. I will guide them through basic pilates mat work with emphasis on articulation. This lets me know where the client has the most weaknesses so I can focus the exercises to what they need.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Former Professional-level ballet dancer, BFA Ballet Performance, PMA-CPT trainer 2012, training clients since 1995
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Allegro is set up through the Mindbody Connect App. You are able to see through the app all group classes and prices we offer through our main studio. Private sessions are made as separate appointments. Monthly memberships and Virtual Class Cards are the most popular method of payments.
How did you get started teaching?
As a dancer, I had many times when I needed to rehab and get back into the studio and on stage quickly. Pilates was the exercise form that did that consistently the fastest for me. I love the fact that the exercise sequences rarely change but can rehab SO many conditions of the body.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with clients who have been walking with walkers who want to become more mobile, all the way up to athletes who want to build core to become more competetive in their chosen sports.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Allegro Moves studio are the official warm-up crew for the Oswego Pumpkin Run in October. A super fun event for the whole family!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always look for a certified Pilates trainer who has an athletic background. People who have a personal history in high level athletics can explain how the muscle should feel and work. Try to stay away from trainers who push too quickly as the body needs time to adjust to each level of fitness that is added.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Always ask the trainer if they modify exercises according to how the client feels and functions every day. If they try to push clients who are affected by sleep, medication, family stress, etc. the client will not feel they can keep up and may quit. Always have trainer that listens to you!
