Training at BLKK has been an amazing experience! As a busy mom, training once a week in the dojo has been a great way to have “me time” while juggling a busy schedule. I’ve gained a tremendous amount of self confidence while learning self defense techniques that will empower me in any situation. The workouts are great and I’ve meet lifelong friends. I highly recommend BLKK for anyone seeking martial arts or self defense training, or a just a great workout. I’ve been with Professor Lynn for 6+ years from white to black belt, and I’m looking forward to many more years of training.

    Frequently asked questions

evaluation process takes a few days of observasion.  Alot of inquiries, questions and behavior tells all !

I have a bachelors degree in Mass Communications and Psychology and over 40 years of teaching experience. I am also a 33 years retired Police Sgt.

To be discussed in person with the student, after their evaluation of our program and our evaluation of the student

It was mere luck as I needed to help out my instructor who had to leave the karate school due to an incident at home (turned out to be nothing)...so it was just me !!!

All types of people that train for all different reasons.

Make sure they allow you to watch a class if so wanted.  There should be nothing secretive to what they are doing.  If the student feels more comfortable, they should be allowed to watch also...although COVID changed alot of those policies....still NO secrets !

Just be honest about medical conditions, as we will ask, and we always ask for a medical waiver due to the strenuous nature of the training.
