Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First getting to know a new student is very important and a fun process for me. Always starting with the basics, and through observation. Then I always like to ask a few questions such as if there is any aches/pains/ injuries I need to be aware of. Their favorite poses and their yoga history.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
RYT 200- CV Yoga
Meditation & pranayama - Shiva Shakti School of yoga
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$15 for an hour session
breath work/ meditation separately $25 for 45 minute session.
How did you get started teaching?
Yoga happened to have found me at the right time in my life when I needed it. I have been doing yoga for many years but I saw an add to get trained in yoga and I signed up. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. And I took that love and turned it into a practice. I am paying the universe forward as it guided me to what I needed.
What types of students have you worked with?
ALL kinds! All bodies, and all personalities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love celebrating others, and I love the beginning of spring. Birthdays and changes of seasons!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
To come with an open heart and open mind.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I always say to experience a teachers class before making any decisions about whether it is for you or not. Everyone teaches differently and there are so many different styles out there!
