I am a Hatha yoga teacher and a Thai Bodywork Practitioner. As a Bodyworker I have exensive knowledge of anatomy and trigger point therapy. I am aslo very passionate about teaching Acro Yoga. Acro Yoga is a partner practice with a Base and a Flyer. It builds trust, communication, and lots of physical benefits too. It is also a lot of fun. I am available to teach individuals and pairs. Acro Yoga has a global community you can join. If you would like to begin with a private lesson let's do it!

One reason I love practicing yoga is how great it makes your body feel and how it calms the mind. In addition, it teaches people how to listen to their body. I believe that is one thing that sets it apart from other physical practices. It makes me feel great to share this practice and its benefits with others.
Acro Yoga has also had a profound influence on my life and my body. Sharing it with other people is a joy. It can be so playful and cause so much laughter, but it can also be an intense workout. I have never been a work out for the sake of working out person, but I have gotten much stronger from practicing Acro Yoga. I also love teaching this practice and seeing people get excited when they realize they are capable of more than they thought.

I request a short phone call before our first lesson so I can get a better understanding of what the student is looking for in a private class. I also need to understand if there are any injuries or limitations in range of motion so I can customize the lesson to their needs and address any issues.

I started practicing hot yoga not long after I had my ACL reconstructed. It really helped restore my knee range of motion to what it was. Besides giving me a more flexible body, it has also relieved stress by focussing my attention inwardly for 60 - 90 minutes. After practicing for almost 6 years I attended a teacher training with Tony Sanchez in Mexico. I taught yoga in Chicago for a few years before I moved to Maryland. I really love working with students one on one.
