I have been practicing yoga and a variety of holistic healing forms for over 35 years. We have been operating in this location in Beltsville since 1996. We offer our members a flexible schedule and individual care as needed. Each of our classes include stretching, strengthening and meditation exercises to help students achieve more health, happiness and peace. Many have lowered blood preasure and anxiety, sleep better and reduced medications as well as many other benefits.

I love to see the changes that happen with our students as they practice. I too have been able to become healthier, happier and more relaxed through this practice and I want to share that benefit with those who want and need it.

    Since joining the Beltsville Dahn Yoga Center, I am healthier and happier. Prior to finding Dahn Yoga, I suffered with severe heel pain (plantar fasciitis) for a year. Physical therapy, stretching—nothing helped me. After 3 weeks at the Center, the heel pain was gone. After 3 months, my flexibility and physical strength improved dramatically. After working out at the Center, I always feel better emotionally and physically. Kim and Alan, the Center Directors/Instructors, are friendly and encouraging. You don’t need to be physically fit to participate. All you need is the desire to be healthier and happier. You will get benefit.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The best way for a new customer to find out about us is to come for a Private Introductory Session. It is about 1 hour and the cost is $29. In a private session we will do some basic exercises and check your flexibility, balance, strength and alignment. This way we can get to know well what you need and you can become familiar with how we work.  Or if you prefer you can come try one of our regular classes at no charge for the first class. Through either of these options you can see how our classes can be beneficial for you. If you choose we can show you options for continuing. 

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have over 16 years of running our yoga center. We both completed 2 years of training in teaching and healing in this style of yoga and healing arts before we opened the center in 2002.  For ongoing training we get together at least once per week with other local yoga and meditation instructors and practice together. Every day we also do our own practice for ourselves. At least once per year we travel for more in depth training.

In addition Kim has been practicing yoga, meditation and a veriety of healing arts since 1983.

There are a veriety of choices for memberships to choose from. With each membership you will also receive our customized care to be sure you are getting the most from your training. We want to help you achieve your goals.

10 classes = $180, 20 classes = $325, 30 classes = $450.

or you can choose an unlimeted class membership:

1 month = $160, 3 months = $420, 6 months = $750, 1 year = $1390. There are also other choices. 

How did you get started teaching?

I have been interested in this kind of work and practicing in one way or another for the last 35 years. When I was introduced to this particular style it helped me so much to felt grounded, happy and confident. I studied under the masters at my training center for 2 years and took many courses in Sedona Arizona and Upstate New york. In 2002 after finishing all the necessary training I opened my own center where we are still operating now.

What types of students have you worked with?

We are open to everyone from 12 to 100, However at the moment we do not have childrens classes.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

You might be supprised about all the areas of your life that can change through the practice of Yoga and Tai-Chi. Simply consider whatever is in your way to being the best you that you want to be.  How is the condition of your back?, digestion?, sleep?... etc. Do you have anxiety? depression? high blood pressure? There are so many things that can be in your way of having a healthy happy and peacful life that is going the direction you want. When you can share with us about everything you wish for we can help you the best.
