It is important to find out if there are any physical or health limitations of the client. Safety is always first.
Next is technique, technique and technique! Proper form and technique will beat power any day and also prevent injuries.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have 7 different trainers to chose from... experience is in several forms: Certifications, Pro fighters, Amatuer fighters with International Championship titles, class instructors and years of experience.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students ages 5 and up! No experience or fitness level is required. We teach you the skills and condition you at the same time.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you instructor truly ENJOYS training and not just doing it as a "job". The attitude of the instructor will reflect on you.
It is good if the instructor is a member of a martial arts gym themselves. This way they stay sharp on their techniques and have other "fighters" to spar, train, learn from and improve against. Then they can bring their expertise to you.
